SHINee's Jonghyun not ready for comeback from influenza

Korean pop group SHINee member Jonghyun, who has been recovering from the influenza flu, may not be ready to perform on a music show tomorrow, according to his agency on Thursday.

The pop idol was diagnosed with the H1N1 influenza flu on Tuesday and halted all activities promoting his group's third mini-album "2009, Year Of Us" which was released less than two weeks ago."He has been recovering quickly and we expect he will be given a clean bill of health soon but even so, we want to him to be in full health before he goes on stage," said an official at SM Entertainment.

This will make it unlikely that the singer will perform at KBS' weekly Music Bank on Friday.

His group's new single "Ring Ding Dong" took the No. 1 spot on the show last week, as well as shows on other channels.SHINee, one of the most popular idol groups in Korea, has had several K-pop hits, most notably their debut single "Older Girl, You're So Pretty" and the recent chart topper "Juliette" earlier this year.
