Korean singer and actor Rain has created an idol group named "MBLAQ", according to the star's agency on Friday.
The five-member boy band will be revealed to the public in a fashion spread in the October issue of Nylon magazine, J. Tune Entertainment announced in a press release. Rain, who was the producer and choreographer for the new K-pop group, will also be featured in the fashion editorial.
"This is the first group that Rain is introducing to the public since becoming a producer," the statement quoted an executive at J. Tune as saying.
One of the members, Lee Joon, played the younger version of Rain's character in his upcoming Hollywood film "Ninja Assassin" which opens in November in Korea."MBLAQ" is set to release their first single in mid-October.
