Female group Rainbow, soon set to make a comeback to the local music scene, has unveiled the album jacket to their upcoming album.
The jacket, titled “S O 女” -- pronounced as “so-nyeo” and translated into “girl” -- emphasizes the femininity of the girls who are seen in short, white mini-dresses while wearing natural make-up and flowers in their hair.
In the music video for “TO ME,” which is a powerful dance number composed by famed J-pop musician and DJ Daishi Dance, the group will appear as high and proud city girls, ready to get revenge on a guy who betrayed them.
“We tried to show as many colorful sides to us as possible given that we have such different concepts for album jacket, music video and stage. We plan to make it worthy of our name, Rainbow,” Rainbow's members were quoted as saying in the statement.
Rainbow, formed of members Kim Jae-kyung, Oh Seung-a, Koh Woo-ri, No Eul, Jung Yoon-hye, Kim Ji-sook and Cho Hyun-young, made their debut in November 2009 with their single "Gossip Girl."
They have been appearing as regulars for a Japanese TV show titled "HAN LOVE" which focuses on Korean entertainment since July.
