Korean pop group Girls' Generation [SM Entertainment]

Korean pop group Girls' Generation is set to go on their first Asian tour next month, according to their agency on Wednesday.

The group will kick off the tour at Seoul's Olympic Park Fencing Stadium on December 19 and 20 and continue onto other Asian cities including Shanghai and Bangkok, SM Entertainment announced in the press release.

"We are very glad and excited to give our first concert," the girl group was quoted as saying. "We will work hard and do our best to show you a fantastic performance."

The concert will feature their hit songs as well as individual performances by the members.

Girls' Generation is one of South Korea's most popular pop groups who had back-to-back hits this year with singles "Gee" and "Tell Me Your Wish". They recently released "Chocolate Love" as part of their activities to promote LG CYON's New Chocolate Phone.

Tickets for the Seoul concert go on sale at G-market's ticket reservation website (http://www.gmarket.co.kr) on November 19.
