Korean idols U-Know Yunho of duo TVXQ and songstress IU will take up figure skating for an upcoming SBS variety show.
According to various industry sources on Thursday, U-know Yunho and IU are set to appear on a new show tentatively titled "Kiss & Cry" which will feature Olympic gold medalist Kim Yuna.
"Kiss & Cry" is a program where celebrities will take on the challenge of figure skating and be judged by a panel of experts including Kim Yuna.
Other celebrities that are slated to join the show are actresses Lee Ah-hyun and Park Jun-keum, actor Park Sang-wook and comedian Kim Byung-man and the show is scheduled to air in early May after the final episode of variety show "Hero Girls" ends its run.
Making his debut as one of the main vocalist in boy band TVXQ in 2004, U-Know Yunho has expanded his career into other branches of the entertainment industry including starring in the musical production of "Goong" as well as acting in MBC's TV series "No Limit."
IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, made her debut with her first mini-album "Lost and Found" in September 2008. She has produced a number of hit songs including "Boo," "Marshmallow" and "Nagging" with 2AM member Seulong.
She has been promoting her latest album "Real" which has topped various online and offline music charts since its release in early December last year. The songstress has also starred in KBS' musical drama "Dream High."
