Idol group Girls’ Generation has been chosen as the new face of major semiconductor chipmaker Intel Corporation's new product in Asia, announced the girls' agency SM Entertainment on Monday.
According to a press release by SM, Girls’ Generation will endorse the 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processor family starting today by taking part in Intel's marketing activities covering seven Asian countries including Korea.
A music video is set for release on January 17 and the group is set to sing it live at a press conference for the new product scheduled the following day.
“The upcoming music will be easy to sing along to while is in line with our style," the group was quoted as saying in the press release.
Composed of members Taeyeon, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Jessica, Seohyun, Yoona, Yuri and Sooyoung, Girls' Generation made their debut in 2007 with first album "Into the New World" and is currently one of the top idol groups active in both Korea and Japan.
