Korean top actor Kim Myung-min is returning to the small screen in four years by playing the male lead in a new SBS TV series.
Kim has decided to play a TV producer in SBS’ Monday-Tuesday primetime soap opera “The Lord of the dramas”(tentative title), SBS' official said Tuesday.
“The Lord of the dramas” is character-centered comedy that centers around a production firm's C.E.O, a rookie scriptwriter and an arrogant top celebrity who has a strong conviction within himself.
The “Deranged” actor will play the production company's C.E.O Anthony Kim, who is unquestionably one of the best in the business in producing quality TV series. He is also an ambivalent character that could even give up everything he has for money, fame and success.
Helmed by Hong Sung-chang of “He’s beautiful” (SBS, 2009) and written by Jang Hang-jun of “Sign” (SBS, 2011-2012), the comedy drama is scheduled to air as the follow-up to the historical drama "The Faith" in November.
He is currently promoting his film “Deranged,” one of the best-scored Korean movies so far this year.
