Korean actor Kim Jae-won is returning to the small screen again with a new project in his hands.
Having been out of the spotlight for about ten months after his shoulders got injured on the set of "Flower, I Am" (MBC, 2011), Kim has decided to play the male lead in MBC's "May Queen" set to air in August, his agency Khan Enterprise announced on Friday.
Alongside the actor, actress Han Ji-hye and actor Jae-hee have also been announced to be working on the concept of their characters in the project.
Helmed by director Baek Ho-min and scriptwriter Son Young-mok, the show depicts the success stories of people in the shipbuilding industry.
Kim was initially cast as the male lead in "Flower, I Am" but he had to step down from the show after getting injured from riding a malfunctioning motorcycle.
Kim first appeared in the small screen with SBS’ 2001 sitcom "Honey Honey" and shot to stardom by starring in MBC's romantic drama "Romance" alongside actress Kim Ha-neul.
His last acting role on TV was a hearing-impaired man in MBC's "Listen To My Heart" (2011), opposite Hwang Jung-eum.
