Actress Seo Woo has been cast as the female lead in an upcoming horror television movie, according to the show's broadcaster, MBN.
MBN said in a press release on Wednesday that Seo will play a college student majoring in art named Jung-hwa in the TV movie titled, "Knock," slated to air in August.
"I've decided to take on the role of Jung-hwa because I was drawn to her mysterious characteristics. I'm also excited to return to the small screen in the new fantasy horror," Seo Woo was quoted as saying.
Seo Woo made her film debut in 2008 film "Crush & Blush", for which she won Best New Actress from several Korean film awards.
Her latest TV roles include "Sister of Cinderella" (KBS, 2010) with Moon Geun-young, "Flames of Desire" (MBC, 2011) with Yoo Seung-ho and SBS' weekend series "When Tomorrow Comes" (2011-2012).
