Actor Ji Hyun-woo takes part in a script reading for tvN's series "Queen In-hyun's Man." [CJ E&M]
Actor Ji Hyun-woo has decided to join the cast of tvN's new Monday and Tuesday fantasy series, according to the show's promoter CJ E&M on Wednesday.
According to the press release by CJ, Ji will be playing a scholar from the Joseon Dynasty in the drama, tentatively titled “Queen In-hyun’s Man," which will hit the small screen in mid April after current series "12 Men in a Year" ends its run.
In the series, Ji's character named Kim Boong-do is an elite figure living in the Joseon Dynasty and he devotes himself to rescue Queen In-hyun after his family gets assassinated
During the rescue, he mysteriously gets stuck in a time warp and travels in time to 2012 where he meets a rookie actress who is playing the role of Queen In-hyun in a drama.
Ji made his debut as an actor in 2003 and has appeared on a number of hit dramas and movies, including MBC's weekend series "A Thousand Kisses" (2011-2012) and Korean movie "Mr. Idol" (2011).
