Cast of "K-POP Strongest Survival" (translated title) Ko Eun-a, Park Yu-hwan, Jewelry's Kim Eun-jung and ZE:A's Kevin
Korean actor Park Yu-hwan and actress Ko Eun-a have been cast as K-pop stars in an upcoming TV series, according to their respective agencies on Thursday.
Park's agency C-JeS Entertainment told 10Asia that Park has been tapped to play Kang Woo-hyun who is the leader of a popular boy band M2 in new series "K-POP Strongest Survival" (translated title) set to air on Dong-A Ilbo's general programming channel Channel A on March 12.
The series, also starring K-pop idols Kevin of boy band ZE:A (Children of Empire) and Kim Eun-jung of girl group Jewelry, will be based on singers taking part in an audition program.
Park, who is also the younger brother to JYJ member Yuchun, has starred in several TV series such as "Twinkle, Twinkle" (MBC, 2011), "Gyebaek" (MBC, 2011) and recently in SBS' "Thousand Days Promise" opposite Kim Rae-won and Soo-ae.
