Korean actor Cho Seung-woo has decided to join the cast of the musical "Doctor Zhivago," according to the show's promoter Ode Musical on Monday.
Ode Musical announced in a press release that Cho will take on the role of Yuri Zhivago in the musical adaptation of the 1957 novel "Doctor Zhivago" set to begin its run for six months starting January 27 at the Charlotte Theater in Seoul.
The role was originally set to be played by actor Ju Ji-hoon, as his first project after being discharged from his two-year military duty, though he gave up the role due to reasons of health.
Cho made his debut in 1999 and has starred in a number of high profile films such as "The Classic (2003)," " Malaton" and "Tazza: The High Rollers."
