A Korean cable TV series starring actor Jung Il-woo and actress Lee Chung-ah has been sold to Japan, according to the show's promoter CJ E&M on Wednesday.
An official with CJ E&M told 10Asia that cable channel tvN's romantic comedy "Cool Men, Hot Ramen" was sold to Japan's major content distribution company CCC (Culture Convenience Club Co.,Ltd.).
"Cool Men, Hot Ramen," into its eighth episode, will also make its premiere on Mnet Japan in January of next year, the official explained.
Meanwhile, cable channel CGV "Killer K" and OCN's "Quiz of God 2" have been sold to famed Japanese distribution company SPO.
"Cool Guys, Hot Ramen" tells the story of Yang Eun-bi (Lee Chung-ah), a trainee teacher, who takes over her father's ramen store which is operated by handsome chefs. It has received favorable reviews and brought in viewership ratings in the four percent range since its premiere on October 31.
"Quiz of God 2," starring Ryu Duk-hwan and Yoon Joo-hee, follows doctor Han Jin-woo and his medical team as they solve mysterious deaths and cases.
