Actor Shin Ha-kyun has said one of his main reasons he took on KBS’ drama “Brain” is because he feels that viewers can get something new out of it.
He made the remark at the press conference held in Seoul on Tuesday for the medical series, his first small screen project in eight years.
“I had a number of opportunities to star in shows for major broadcasters…… and it’s not like I turned them down on purpose but I felt that the audience can get something new out of ‘Brain,’” Shin said.
“The characters are different and I like how the series is able to portray ambition, one of the basic instincts to people, in a different manner as well.”
“Brain,” helmed by producer Yoo Hyun-ki, tells the everyday stories of ambitious neurosurgeons working at one of the top hospitals in the country.
The show, also starring Choi Jung-won, Jo Dong-hyeok and Jung Jin-young, will air every Monday and Tuesday night starting November 14.
