KBS’ weekend primetime drama “My Love My Family,” ascended a spot to rule the weekly TV chart for the first time, according to reports by two media research companies on Monday.
“My Love My Family,” a family drama that depicts on the troubled love situations of several couples in one family, scored an average viewership rating of 22.5 percent on Total National Multimedia Statistics’ (TNmS) chart and 24.5 percent on AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (AGB) poll on the third week of May.
MBC’s music reality show “MBC Star Audition” went up two steps from the previous week to reach the No. 2 spot on both TNmS and AGB’s reports, marking an average viewership rating of 18.8 percent and 21.7 percent, respectively.
In this week’s competition that featured three contestants, Canadian boy Shayne got eliminated at the end of the show leaving Baek Chungkang and Lee Taekwon to compete against each other for the finale this coming Friday.
“Bittersweet My Life,” which took off two weeks ago, is a family drama centered on the love and work of six young people starring Jung Eun-chae, Jay from TRAX, Yoon Ah-jung, Choi Min-sung, Yoo So-young and Kang So-ra.
“New Gisaeng Story,” starring Lim Soo-hyang and Sung Hoon, is a love story that takes place at the last remaining Gisaeng (Korean courtesan) House in Korea where the heroine girl appears as the dancer of Korean traditional dance.
