Over 6,000 fans showed up at the promotional event for TV series "Naughty Kiss" starring singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong and actress Jung So-min held in Japan yesterday, informed his agency KEYEAST.
According to a press release by KEYEAST today, Kim and Jung turned up at the event in Osaka, held twice during the day, which was aimed at promoting “Naughty Kiss” set to go on air in Japan around mid-May on Fuji TV’s Hallyuα channel and KEYEAST’s Japanese cable channel DATV.
During the event, Kim shared details on the characters for the show as well as behind-the-scenes stories while singing its soundtrack “One More Time.”
Kim then made a surprise announcement, promising his fans that he will return to Japan on August 2 for a similar event in Tokyo.
“The news of earthquake that hit Japan last March left me greatly worried about my fans. I am sorry I wasn't able to visit the same month but I’m glad I have made it just in time, before the drama goes on air,” Kim was quoted as saying during the event.
Kim, 24, made his debut as the leader of the popular boy band SS501 in 2005. He became a household name throughout Asia, starring in KBS’ smash hit series “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009.
He then played the role of Baek Sung-jo in “Naughty Kiss," the Korean small screen adaptation of the Japanese comic “Itazura na Kiss" last year and visited various countries in Asia to promote the show.
He is currently preparing for the release of his solo album which will be released around early June.
