The main cast of a new MBC drama tentatively titled "Ms. Ripley" has held their first script reading session, according to the show's promoter 3HW on Thursday.
3HW announced in a press release that Korean actors Kim Seung-woo, Lee Da-hye, Park Yuchun of trio group JYJ and Kang Hye-jung took part in the first reading for the show in Ilsan city of the Gyeonggi Province on March 21.
"Kim, Lee, Park and Kang showed great passion regarding their acting for the script reading of 'Ms. Ripley,'" a producer from the show was quoted as saying. "We have high expectations for the show from what we have seen today."
"Ms. Ripley," helmed by director Choi Yi-seop and written by scenarist Kim Sun-young, tells the story of a woman who lies about one thing and begins to lie about everything. She is then faced with the problem that she can lose everything because of the lies that she has made up.
The show will hit airwaves every Monday and Tuesday nights in late May after current series "The Duo" finishes its run.
