Several photographs of actor Hyun Bin undergoing training for the Marine Corps have been revealed.

The website for the official Marine Corps' blog site Fly Marine Boy (http://rokmarineboy.tistory.com) on Tuesday showed the 28-year-old actor in his first week at the Marine Corps' training center in the southern city of Pohang in Korea.

One of the photos in particular shows Hyun Bin pledging after being chosen as the representative of new recruits "usually picked based on how outstanding their exterior is in attitude and posture," the website explained.

Hyun Bin, whose real name is Kim Tae-pyung, entered the Marine Corps on March 7 as part of fulfilling his two-year mandatory military duties and after receiving seven weeks of training, will be assigned to a base on which he will serve for 21 months.

Hyun Bin first rose to fame after starring in smash hit series "My Name is Kim Sam-soon" alongside actress Kim Suna in 2005 and has also starred in other dramas including “World’s Within” (KBS, 2008) and "Friend, Our Legend" (MBC, 2009).

His popularity shot again early this year after starring in smash hit SBS TV series "Secret Garden," which tells the story about a man and woman's souls occasionally get switched.

He also released two films in mid-February "Late Autumn" opposite Chinese actress Tang Wei and drama "Come Rain, Come Shine" alongside Korean actress Lim Soo-jung, both which were invited to the 61st Berlin International Film Festival.
