Korean actors Son Ye-jin, Sul Kyung-gu and Kim Sang-kyung have been cast as the leads in an upcoming action flick, according to the film's producer CJ E&M on Tuesday.
CJ E&M announced in a press release that Son will play the role of Seo Yoon-hee, a restaurant manager, Sul will take on the role of the firefighter named Kang Young-gi and Kim will play the building manager named Lee Dae-ho in the action movie titled "Tower."
"Tower,” to be helmed by Korean director Kim Ji-hoon whose works include "May 18" and upcoming sci-fi pic "Sector 7,” tells the story of a huge fire in a building and will crank in at the end of next month.
Son made her debut in 2001 through MBC drama "Delicious Proposal" and has since appeared in many successful TV series and movies including "Summer Scent" (KBS, 2003), "Alone in Love" (SBS, 2006) “Personal Taste” (MBC, 2010) and movie "The Classic" in 2003.
She has recently been cast in a new film tentatively titled “Eerie Romance” opposite actor Lee Min-ki.
Kim made his debut in theater with a role in "The Advocate" in 1998. He is best known for his roles in "Memories of Murder" and "May 18" and has had two films "Tales of Cinema" and "Hahaha" screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
