SS501 releases new mini-album jacket

K-pop idol group SS501 has released the jacket for their new mini-album "Rebirth".

The members, in heavy smoky make-up on the revealed jacket, will be making a comeback with a new album later this month for the first time in a year and seven months.

The new album will be available in a regular and special edition, which comes with a 100-page organizer, photobook and poster. The special edition, available in limited numbers, will be released first on October 20 and the regular version two days later.

SS501, who debuted in June 2005, is one of the most popular K-pop acts in Asia. The group has had numerous hits singles in Korea and Japan, and some of the members have branched out to acting and musical theater as well.

The leader of the group, Kim Hyun-joong, who starred in hit TV series "Boys Over Flowers" earlier this year, was infected with the H1N1 influenza virus in Tokyo last month.

Having fully recovered, he is scheduled to perform at the group's Asia tour concert in Taiwan on October 17.
