Asia's Top Island: Vietnam's 'Phu Quoc'
In the 'Readers' Choice Awards 2025' by the US travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler,
Phu Quoc in Vietnam ranked first as Asia's top island and third in the world.
It surpassed famous resort destinations such as Hawaii, the Maldives, and Bali.
Why is it so popular?
The evaluation criteria included service quality, natural scenery, beach beauty, cuisine, and hospitality.
Phu Quoc scored 95.51 points, an increase from last year.
It was also the only Vietnamese island to be included on the list of the world's most beautiful islands.

It outranked the Maldives (92.31 points), Maui in Hawaii (93.35 points), Bali (89.84 points), and Phuket (84.62 points).
World-Class Resorts
Located on Kem Beach in southern Phu Quoc,
'JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort'
was also listed among the world's top resorts.
Phu Quoc has maintained its upward trend, ranking for four consecutive years.
A 'Heavenly Island' Attracting Foreign Visitors
From January to September 2025, 1.2 million foreign tourists visited (+66%).
Tourism revenue reached 3.11 trillion dong (about 1.7 trillion won, +90%).
Visitors came from more than 150 countries.
It is the only region in Vietnam where a 30-day visa-free entry is possible, offering top accessibility.
In November this year, 'Sun Phu Quoc Airlines' will launch its first flights,
further expanding air travel options.
"Now Even Hotter Than Hawaii"
According to Vietnam Plus,
"Phu Quoc, once an unknown destination,
has now surpassed Hawaii and the Maldives to become a world-class tourist spot."
Its status is expected to rise further as it hosts the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in 2027.
