The National Airport Workers' Solidarity held a pre-strike rally at Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport on the 10th, demanding the implementation of a four-shift two-team system, workforce reinforcement, and improvements to the treatment of subsidiary company employees. On the first day, around 2,000 workers in roles such as environmental cleaning, traffic management, firefighting, mechanical facility management, and terminal operations from airports nationwide participated in the strike.

Inevitable Confusion if Prolonged Ahead of APEC

Incheon International Airport Corporation and Korea Airports Corporation announced that they would work with their subsidiaries to minimize inconvenience for passengers. Incheon International Airport Corporation stated, "Since this situation could directly affect the safety and convenience of the public, and with just one month left until the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, when we must be fully prepared to welcome state guests, we urge restraint from striking at this critical time."
