Agency: "Spouse Reported Incident During Argument"
Police Expected to Close Case Soon

It was belatedly reported that actor Lee Jihoon, who appeared in the film "The Outlaws," had an altercation with his wife at their home in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, prompting a police response.

According to a Yonhap News report on August 14, police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a 112 emergency call on July 24, alleging that Lee had assaulted his wife at their home.

Regarding the incident, Lee's agency told Yonhap News, "The police were dispatched after the spouse called during a verbal argument between the couple," adding, "There was no physical assault." It has been reported that during the incident, Lee and his wife, identified as Ms. A, were arguing, and a dispute broke out when Lee attempted to leave the house and his wife tried to stop him.

The police who responded to the scene investigated Lee on suspicion of assault. However, since his wife did not wish to pursue charges, the case was classified as a family protection matter rather than a criminal case. Based on statements collected at the scene, the police determined that the incident was not a serious matter and, given the complainant's stated lack of intent to press charges, are expected to close the case soon.

The agency stated, "We deeply apologize for causing concern to the public with this incident," and added, "Both Lee Jihoon and his spouse are reflecting on their actions."

Meanwhile, Lee is an actor who began his career as a 20th-generation KBS open recruitment broadcaster. He has gained public recognition through appearances in popular films such as "Rollercoaster," "The Outlaws 3," and "The Outlaws 4." He also played the role of Byeongbusirang in the drama "Goryeo Khitan War."
