KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10 Newly Listed

On August 12, Samsung Asset Management announced the listing of the new 'KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10 ETF,' which will focus on investing in financial stocks expected to deliver higher shareholder returns and earnings growth. This ETF selectively invests in 10 financial stocks?including financial holding companies, banks, and securities firms?with a strong high-dividend profile that have also passed strict financial requirements.

The ETF's portfolio is composed of stocks with a price-to-book ratio (PBR) below 1. There are high expectations for resolving undervaluation due to the government's corporate value enhancement policies. Over the past five years, the average annual dividend yield of the Financial High Dividend TOP10 Index has exceeded 6%. Financial stocks are regarded as major beneficiaries of the separate taxation policy for dividend income. It is projected that dividends will rise up to the 40% payout ratio threshold for separate taxation.

The KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10 ETF shares the same portfolio as the 'KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10 Target Weekly Covered Call,' which was listed in December last year and gained significant popularity. However, it is designed without the covered call strategy, allowing investors to fully benefit from stock price appreciation.

The existing product, KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10 Target Weekly Covered Call, has achieved a 40.9% return since the beginning of the year. Individual investors have made net purchases of 233.3 billion won so far this year, demonstrating strong demand for financial stock investments. The product has received a positive response from investors seeking stable returns and high dividends.

KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10 is a monthly dividend ETF, paying out dividends based on holdings as of the 15th of each month. When combined with other ETFs such as the KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10 Target Weekly Covered Call, which pays dividends at the end of the month, investors can receive dividends twice a month.

Lee Daehwan, a manager at Samsung Asset Management, stated, "Financial stocks are the leading choice for high-dividend investment, thanks to record-breaking earnings as well as policy factors such as amendments to the Commercial Act and separate taxation." He added, "With KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10, investors can invest in 10 stocks that have passed strict selection criteria among financial stocks."
