Electric Shock at Goheung Aquafarm, South Jeolla: One Foreign Worker Dead, Another in Critical Condition

A foreign worker lost his life in an electric shock accident at an aquafarm in Goheung, South Jeolla Province.

According to the police and other authorities on August 10, at around 4:14 p.m. that day, two foreign workers in their 30s suffered electric shocks while working at an aquafarm in Duwon-myeon, Goheung-gun, South Jeolla Province.

Both were transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest. One of them died while receiving treatment, and the other is reportedly in a state of unconsciousness.

The accident is believed to have occurred while they were repairing a submersible motor in the freshwater purification facility at the aquafarm.

The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
