President Lee Dispatches Representative Cho Jungshik as Special Envoy to Indonesia

President Lee Jaemyung will dispatch Representative Cho Jungshik of the Democratic Party of Korea as a special envoy to Indonesia.

On August 10, Kang Yujeong, spokesperson for the presidential office, announced in a written briefing that Representative Cho, as the head of the special envoy delegation to Indonesia, will meet with key figures and deliver President Lee's message?along with a personal letter?regarding the strengthening of friendly and cooperative relations between Korea and Indonesia.

Spokesperson Kang stated, "The special envoy delegation will convey our government's commitment to further strengthening the Korea-Indonesia special strategic partnership. At the same time, the delegation will broadly exchange views on expanding mutually beneficial and substantive cooperation in comprehensive areas such as trade and investment, defense industry, energy, and digital transformation, as well as on strengthening Korea-ASEAN cooperation."

The delegation includes Representative Seo Youngkyo and Representative Lee Jaekang. They will visit Indonesia on August 11 and stay until August 13.
