LG Modular Home 'Smart Cottage' Sells Out Open House Tour Reservations in One Week

The modular home 'Smart Cottage' introduced by LG Electronics has garnered significant attention, with reservations for its experiential tour fully booked just one week after its launch.

According to industry sources on August 1, the 'Smart Cottage' open house tour operated by LG Electronics in Gimje, Jeollabuk-do, had all 200 available spots for the August 2 event filled within one week of opening for advance reservations. It has also been reported that inquiries about additional tour dates have continued since then.

Smart Cottage is a modular home developed by LG Electronics by combining AI appliances with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technology. It features an independent energy system that generates its own power through a solar power system installed on the roof, enabling all household facilities to operate solely on electricity.

Visitors showed great interest in a variety of technologies, including the smart door lock and electric blinds controllable via the LG ThinQ app, AI-based home appliances, and the heat pump HVAC system. They also responded positively to the exterior design and space efficiency.

LG Electronics is expected to officially open the Gimje Smart Cottage as early as next month. Customers will be able to book an overnight stay online and experience a range of premium appliances firsthand in the actual space, including the Objet Collection WashTower Compact, dishwasher, induction cooktop, lightwave oven, and water purifier.

Jo Yeonwoo, head of the Smart Cottage division at LG Electronics, stated, "We will continue various activities so that more customers can experience Smart Cottage, which integrates space, appliances, and services."
