Ranked 5th Among Private Universities in Korea
Demonstrating International Competitiveness
Kyung Hee University ranked 39th in Asia and 5th among private universities in South Korea in the '2026 QS Asia University Ranking' announced by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), a world-renowned higher education evaluation agency.
This evaluation was conducted for 1,526 universities across Asia.
The assessment was based on Scopus research performance (papers from 2019 to 2023 and citations from 2019 to 2024) and quantitative data from 2023. The evaluation was divided into categories such as reputation, research capability, educational environment, and internationalization.
Kyung Hee University received consistently high scores across all evaluated areas. In particular, the academic reputation, which reflects the quality of research, improved, and the university received high marks in the international research collaboration index, which indicates the excellence of its researchers.
In the international research collaboration index, Kyung Hee University climbed 21 places compared to the previous year, demonstrating the expansion of its international research network.
The university also maintained high scores in the internationalization category, an area where it has consistently performed well.
Kyung Hee University achieved excellent results in the ratios of incoming and outgoing exchange students, proving its status as the leading university in South Korea in terms of internationalization capabilities.
