Jang Donghyuk Launches Fierce Attack: "Lee Jaemyung Is a Disaster for Korea by His Very Existence"

On November 12, the People Power Party intensified its offensive to the highest level regarding the prosecution's decision to forgo an appeal in the Daejang-dong case, fiercely criticizing, "Lee Jaemyung is a disaster and dictator by his very existence." In response to the arrest of former Prime Minister Hwang Kyoahn by the special prosecutor for insurrection, the party declared, "We are Hwang Kyoahn," and called for unity, saying, "This is war. Let us unite and fight together."

Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, focused his criticism on President Lee during the "Daejang-dong Gang's 740 Billion Won National Treasury Recovery Urging and Prosecutor's Appeal Waiver Pressure Condemnation Rally" held on the stairs in front of the National Assembly main building, stating, "At the peak of the appeal waiver stands Lee Jaemyung."

Jang stated, "The National Assembly is filled with the anger of the citizens," and added, "It is because of one person, Lee Jaemyung, who is ruining the Republic of Korea. Lee Jaemyung is a disaster by his very existence," delivering a scathing condemnation.

He emphasized, "In the first trial verdict against the Daejang-dong gang, Lee Jaemyung's name appeared more than 400 times," and asserted, "The court has firmly established that the Daejang-dong Gate is, in fact, the Lee Jaemyung Gate." He continued, "This waiver of appeal is merely the beginning of an attempt to dismiss the indictment against Lee Jaemyung," and urged, "Let us unite and fight together until the day we impeach Lee Jaemyung."

Jang also claimed, "When the prosecution was considering whether to appeal, they must have recalled the numerous mysterious deaths that occurred around Lee Jaemyung," and insisted, "The waiver of appeal was for Lee Jaemyung, by Jeong Seongho, and by Noh Manseok."

Song Eonseok, floor leader of the same party, targeted the government, saying, "With a criminal elected as president, the prime minister is also a criminal, and the ministers are people mired in crimes and corruption." He directly criticized, "In an attempt to create a world only for criminals, they completely dismantled the prosecution, which represents the public interest, and exerted pressure to forgo the appeal in order to fully preserve 780 billion won in criminal proceeds."

He further questioned, "How can we accept a criminal-led government that shatters the dream of ordinary people to own a home, dries up the supply of jeonse rentals, and causes a surge in monthly rents, all while filling the pockets of the Daejang-dong group's 780 billion won in ill-gotten gains?"

The condemnation rally was attended by People Power Party regional committee heads and party members nationwide, who called for a parliamentary investigation and a special prosecutor to determine President Lee's responsibility, as well as the immediate resignation of related officials, including Minister of Justice Jeong Seongho and Acting Prosecutor General Noh Manseok.
