[Breaking] Bus Fire in Maseong Tunnel on Yeongdong Expressway in Yongin... Level 2 Emergency Response Issued

At around 9:17 p.m. on September 16, a fire broke out on a bus traveling through the Maseong Tunnel on the Yeongdong Expressway in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, heading toward Gangneung.

The fire authorities issued a Level 2 response at 9:44 p.m. and began extinguishing the blaze, bringing the major flames under control by 10:09 p.m.

The police and fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire after clearing the remaining embers.
