While touring the site, Governor Lee stated, "The banquet hall is not just a place for socializing at this APEC Summit, but is considered the highlight of the event. We should create a space that showcases the cultural power of Korea through the Special Exhibition of Silla Gold Crowns, K-Pop performances, and the Divine Bell of King Seongdeok. By highlighting the unique Korean beauty of Gyeongbuk and Gyeongju, we must present the essence of Hallyu culture to world leaders."

Governor Lee further emphasized, "This APEC Summit is a mega event taking place at a critically important time both nationally and internationally. With major leaders from the United States, Japan, China, and Russia gathering in one place, we must seize this opportunity to create a platform for peace and prosperity in APEC, and help Korea leap forward as a top-tier nation."

Governor Lee concluded by stating, "During the remaining period, I will stay in Gyeongju and meticulously oversee preparations to ensure this APEC Summit is remembered in history as the most successful ever."
