Wonju City Opens Sogeumsan Media Art Center
An Immersive Digital Exhibition Space Where Nature Meets Technology
Held at the Sogeumsan Grand Valley Integrated Center
Wonju City in Gangwon Province held the opening ceremony for the 'Sogeumsan Media Art Center' at 3:00 p.m. on September 15 on the second floor of the Sogeumsan Grand Valley Integrated Center within the Ganhyeon Tourist Site.

원본보기 아이콘This opening ceremony was organized to celebrate, together with citizens, the launch of an exhibition and experience-based cultural facility that fuses Wonju's natural environment with cutting-edge digital technology, and to widely promote the new digital-based cultural and tourism infrastructure.
More than 100 people attended the event, including Wonju Mayor Won Gangsoo, heads of institutions and organizations, and local residents. The ceremony featured a progress report on the project, an explanation of the exhibition content, and a tour of the exhibition halls.
The Sogeumsan Media Art Center is an immersive exhibition and experience facility built with a total budget of 4.6 billion won. It offers emotionally engaging content using digital media art technology, with themes such as Chiaksan Mountain and Seomgang River, the four seasons of Wonju, light and nature, and the power of sound.

The center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is 5,000 won for adults and 3,000 won for children. Wonju citizens can enter for 2,000 won (adults) and 1,000 won (children), and those who purchase the Sogeumsan Grand Valley integrated ticket can visit for free.
