Previously, on September 12 at around 4:00 p.m., Ms. A's parents filed a missing person report with Yongin Dongbu Police Station, stating that they could not reach their daughter. The police presumed the identity of the body as Ms. A based on her clothing and circumstantial evidence, although the body was partially damaged due to decomposition.

While tracking Ms. A's movements, the police confirmed that she had traveled toward Muju in a car driven by a man in his 50s, referred to as Mr. B. In cooperation with the North Jeolla Provincial Police Agency, they located Mr. B in a wooded area in Muju.

The police determined that Mr. B was likely connected to Ms. A's disappearance, as he refused to present identification and attempted to flee. He was immediately arrested on charges of obstructing official duties. At the time, Mr. B reportedly stated that he "parted ways with Ms. A after an argument."

After searching the area where Mr. B was apprehended, the police discovered the body, presumed to be Ms. A, at a location 50 to 100 meters away from where Mr. B was found.

Ms. A, a TikTok creator, had reportedly worked with Mr. B several times since around May for video production and related activities. However, Mr. B, who has been transferred to Yongin Dongbu Police Station, has not provided any significant statements as of yet.

The police plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to confirm the identity and cause of death of the body found.
