Yangju City and Public Officials Labor Union Discuss Ways to Improve Welfare and City Development

Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province recently held a regular meeting with the Yangju City Public Officials Labor Union (Chairperson Kim Hyejeong) in the mayor's office on the second floor of city hall, creating a meaningful opportunity to strengthen mutual communication and cooperation.

This meeting, held as part of quarterly official discussions, was organized to exchange opinions and discuss ways to cooperate for the development of the city and the improvement of union members' welfare.

During the meeting, a variety of requests were discussed, including the placement of safety personnel in the main office, town and township civil service centers, libraries, and public health centers; the introduction of a competency evaluation system for promotions to grade 6 and above; and the establishment of fair procedures for performance evaluations by evaluators.

These proposals are expected to help protect employees' rights and improve job satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the advancement of city administration.

The city is actively accepting and implementing the suggestions from the labor union, and plans to continue working to create an administration that citizens can truly feel and a better living environment in Yangju, based on trust, communication, and cooperation between labor and management.

Chairperson Kim Hyejeong said, "Thank you for your efforts in various areas for the citizens and union members of Yangju City. I hope you will continue to work toward the development of Yangju and creating an environment where union members can work happily."

Mayor Kang Suhyun added, "Thank you to the Yangju City Public Officials Labor Union for providing valuable suggestions for the welfare of union members and the development of the city. I also ask all union members to continue to work hard together."
