Recently, while issues of unkind service and price gouging have been reported in major tourist destinations such as Sokcho, Yeosu, and Ulleungdo, an act of kindness received by a visually impaired person in Mukho, Donghae City, Gangwon Province, has been warming hearts online.

On September 14, Yonhap News reported on a video uploaded by a YouTuber who is both an anchor and visually impaired, after taking a solo trip to Mukho with a guide dog. The video, titled "Unbelievable Things Happened to Me in Mukho for the First Time," captured several thoughtful gestures he received during his visit.

After arriving at Mukho Station, he struggled to find a restaurant, but a local resident he met at a crosswalk personally guided him to one. At the restaurant, after waiting for a table, he was offered a table for four so that his guide dog could sit comfortably. The staff showed great attention to detail, explaining the location of the food and even mixing it for him.

The taxi driver he called for transportation showed no prejudice toward the guide dog, and at a caf?, the staff brought water for the dog, concerned it might be thirsty.

Despite traveling alone with a guide dog, he never felt stared at or unwelcome in the restaurant, caf?, or taxi. Perhaps for this reason, the YouTuber said he felt at ease wherever he went in Mukho.

He shared, "Traveling alone without being able to see is usually filled with fear, anxiety, and uncertainty, but in Mukho, I felt so much warmth that it truly became a healing trip. I definitely want to come back."
