The Hyundai Global is a K-content export platform where Hyundai Department Store sources competitive Korean local brands and operates stores at renowned overseas retailers. Hyundai Department Store handles all export-related matters, including customs clearance, and directly negotiates with overseas retailers regarding store operations. Following the opening of its first regular retail shop at Parco Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan, on September 19, the company is expanding its business by hosting a pop-up store at a famous department store in Taiwan for the first time among domestic department stores.

This pop-up store will be set up at the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place A11 branch, covering an area of 86 square meters (26 pyeong). A total of 11 brands will be introduced sequentially. Notable examples include "Stand Oil," which previously held pop-up stores in Shanghai, China, and New York, USA, in April; "Laka," which offers unisex cosmetic products; and "Insilence," a contemporary fashion brand highly popular among people in their 20s and 30s.

Hyundai Department Store plans to use the expertise gained from this pop-up store to accelerate the expansion of The Hyundai Global business in Taiwan. As a first step, the company is considering launching additional pop-up stores in major Taiwanese cities such as Taichung and Tainan in the second half of next year.

A Hyundai Department Store representative stated, "This entry of The Hyundai Global into Taiwan is both an opportunity for various K-brands to be recognized and achieve sustainable growth overseas, and a chance for Korean department stores to take the lead in expanding the global distribution influence of K-brands. Moving forward, we will continue to diversify overseas distribution models and drive the globalization of K-brands based on our brand sourcing capabilities and expertise through The Hyundai Global business."
