This forum was organized to foster consensus with local residents on the "Five Regions, Three Special Zones" policy, one of the core policies of the Lee Jaemyung administration, and to discuss Jeonnam's future development direction, including balanced growth strategies for the province.
More than 300 participants, including the county governors of Hampyeong, Wando, and Jindo, business leaders, young people, and public officials, attended the event to hear a policy lecture by Chairman Gyeongsu Kim, who is leading the Lee Jaemyung administration's balanced growth initiatives.
Chairman Gyeongsu Kim delivered a keynote speech titled "The Vitality of Local Regions Is the Vitality of Korea: Focusing on the Five Regions, Three Special Zones Balanced Growth Strategy," explaining the national direction for balanced growth policies and engaging in in-depth discussions with local residents.
In his welcoming remarks, Jeonnam Governor Youngrok Kim stated, "In line with the Five Regions, Three Special Zones balanced growth strategy, we are aiming to establish the Gwangju-Jeonnam Special Metropolitan Alliance within this year. Through this, the Gwangju-Jeonnam region will become a hub driving balanced national growth, and we will do our utmost to ensure Jeonnam can make even greater strides forward."
