At the "Pre-Night" event held on the 7th (local time) at the Mercedes-Benz Pavilion in downtown Munich, Germany, Ola Kallenius, Chairman of the Mercedes-Benz Group, stated, "The All-New GLC marks another milestone in the largest new model launch program in Mercedes-Benz history. It is not simply the introduction of a new car, but the electrification of the brand's best-selling model."

Chairman Kallenius emphasized, "The All-New GLC, which features a bold and new design language, advanced technology, the MB.OS operating system, and an exhilarating performance, achieves a perfect harmony of comfort, dynamism, efficiency, and intelligence."

The GLC is the best-selling model for Mercedes-Benz worldwide. The new GLC is the first model in Mercedes-Benz's next-generation electric vehicle lineup, offering enhanced performance, driving range, efficiency, and charging speed. During development, extensive feedback from global customers was incorporated, maintaining the identity of the internal combustion GLC while strengthening features preferred by customers.

Mercedes-Benz has applied its AI-based operating system, MB.OS, to the new GLC for the first time. Based on an ultra-high-performance chip capable of 254 trillion operations per second, it integrates control of vehicle infotainment, autonomous driving assistance, charging systems, and convenience features. The vehicle learns the driver's preferences, adapts to changing driving conditions, and stays up to date through over-the-air (OTA) updates. Mercedes-Benz explained that the new GLC "will be an intelligent companion that learns and evolves with the driver."

The design has also been renewed. The brand's iconic chrome grille has been reinterpreted. Sculpted shoulder lines, accentuated wheel arches, and a dynamic silhouette combine to create a commanding presence. Inside, the standout feature is the "MBUX Hyperscreen," measuring 99.3 cm (39.1 inches), the largest ever in a Mercedes-Benz model. With high resolution and innovative backlight technology, it offers an immersive digital experience.

The use of eco-friendly materials also sets the model apart. The optional "Vegan Package" has been officially certified by the UK's non-profit Vegan Society. Mercedes-Benz has become the world's first automaker to offer a vegan interior certified by an independent organization.

The top-tier "GLC 400 4MATIC" model boasts a maximum output of 360 kW and a single-charge driving range of 713 km (WLTP standard). The new battery system, based on 800-volt architecture, significantly enhances charging efficiency. Equipped with a 94 kWh lithium-ion battery, the vehicle can travel up to 303 km on a 10-minute charge. Additionally, it supports grid connectivity, enabling the battery to supply power to homes (V2H) and the grid (V2G).

Driving safety and convenience have also been improved. The new one-box brake system integrates regenerative and friction braking. Regenerative braking performance reaches up to 300 kW, operating in over 99% of everyday driving situations. With a maximum towing capacity of 2.4 tons, it can easily tow large caravans or boats.

Convenience features have been significantly expanded. The "Sky Control Panoramic Roof" can switch between transparent and opaque modes, while 162 starlight LEDs provide an emotional in-car experience. The world's first in-car infotainment system, the 4th-generation MBUX, integrates AI from Microsoft and Google. It offers personalized responses and access to more than 40 apps and streaming services.

The intelligent air suspension, proven in the S-Class, has been applied to enhance ride comfort, and rear axle steering supports up to 4.5 degrees of steering angle for agile handling performance.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz also unveiled the CLA Shooting Brake equipped with a new hybrid powertrain, the Concept AMG GT XX that presents the direction of Mercedes-AMG's high-performance electrification platform "AMG.EA," and the camouflaged prototype of the All-New Electric VLE, a large limousine scheduled for release next year.

Matthias Geisen, Head of Marketing and Sales at Mercedes-Benz Group, added, "No matter which model or powertrain customers choose, they will be confident that 'this is a Mercedes-Benz.'"
