This special lecture was led by Shim Jungseop, a teacher at Sampho Elementary School and a member of the "Honors Club for Veterans for All." The "Honors Club for Veterans for All" was launched last year to mark the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and consists of 63 experts and citizens from various fields who are dedicated to spreading the values of veterans affairs.

Teacher Shim emphasized that "small acts are the starting point of loving one's country," and utilized experiential programs such as quizzes, puzzle games, and handprint drawing activities to help students easily understand the message. By sharing the stories of those who devoted themselves to the nation in an engaging and vivid way, Shim received enthusiastic responses from the students.

An official from the Gyeongbuk Northern Veterans Affairs Office stated, "This special lecture was a meaningful occasion that helped students practice the values of veterans affairs in their daily lives," adding, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that the culture of honoring veterans takes root through diverse educational programs."

This special lecture is noteworthy not only for explaining the meaning of veterans affairs, but also for being designed to allow students to participate and learn directly. The Gyeongbuk Northern Veterans Affairs Office’s efforts to expand veterans education into hands-on experiences in partnership with local schools appear to have the potential for nationwide adoption.
