Sejong Fire Department to Launch Intensive First Aid Promotion Until End of Next Month

The Sejong Fire Department will run a 119 Emergency First Aid Intensive Promotion Period until September 31 to enhance citizens' first aid skills and promote a culture of safety. The timing was set in consideration of the Chuseok holiday and the increased frequency of outdoor activities in the fall.

During this period, the department plans to actively promote cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage, as well as conduct citizen participation campaigns.

Additionally, the department will promote easy-to-learn first aid training programs currently offered at local fire stations. Citizens can apply for these first aid courses at the Northern or Southern Fire Stations by phone or through the official website.

Park Taewon, Chief of the Fire Department, stated, "Quick first aid by citizens in emergency situations is the most crucial key to saving lives," and added, "I hope that through this intensive promotion period, all citizens will learn first aid skills and be able to protect precious lives."
