Unemployment Rate Meets Expectations

The U.S. Department of Labor announced on September 5 (local time) that nonfarm payrolls increased by 22,000 in August compared to the previous month.

This figure is significantly below the expert forecast of 75,000 compiled by Dow Jones. The unemployment rate rose from 4.2% in July to 4.3% in August. The August unemployment rate was in line with expert expectations.
